Corbin is an above-knee, right leg amputee and cancer survivor of over 30 years. He is one of the country's most active physically challenged performers. He wrote, performed and toured in educational theater productions designed to enlighten people that those with disabilities and special needs are also whole human beings. Venues and events included: Senator Bob Dole's Foundation (Chicago Employment Conference); The Patawatomi Indian Nation (Michigan); The Wisconsin Teacher's Association; the Minnesota Social Worker's Conference; and The Goodwill Industries of America's Annual Meeting (Washington, DC).

As a writer, he is the recipient of Individual Artist Awards in Playwriting from The Maryland and New York State Council's on the Arts (NYSCA); a Theater Commission from NYSCA; the prestigious Gregory Millard Fellowship from The New York Foundation for the Arts; and the internationally competitive Performance Art Fund from The Franklin Furnace and Jerome Foundations. Corbin wrote and co-directed three nationally acclaimed infomercials that were featured on ABC's Nightline, CNN and the 1990 National Conference of Mayor's. The infomercials also received a citation from The Governor's Office of Maryland, a certificate from The Mayor's Office of Baltimore City, and an award of merit from The US Census Bureau.

As an arts administrator, Mr. Corbin was the first Director of Performing Arts Programs at The Maryland State Arts Council. He also served as a panelist or juror for: The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The National Black Theater Festival, The Virginia Commission on Art & Culture, The Theater Association of Pennsylvania, The Franklin Furnace Foundation, and The Council on the Arts & Humanities for Staten Island.

He is a graduate of The University of Maryland (Baltimore County) with a B.A. Degree in Visual & Performing Arts/Theater. He has also received training from: The Negro Ensemble Company's famed Playwriting Program; The National Theater Workshop for the Handicapped, Hollywood's Media Access Office, The Frank Silvera Writer's Workshop, Director, William Martin and Obie Winner, Walt Whitcover.

As a producer, Corbin is a member of The League of Theater Managers & Producers and is the Founder/President of Globescope Arts & Entertainment, Inc. a newly-formed New York based Production Company dedicated to providing opportunities for performers who are of under represented cultures, senior citizens or labeled disabled.
